Donna Geiger, M.D.
Dr. Geiger is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist, fellowship trained in Cornea and External Disease. She earned her medical degree from SUNY Health Science Center at Syracuse in 1989. She completed her post graduate internship at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse, NY and went on to do her Ophthalmology residency at SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn, where she also served as chief resident at Long Island Hospital. In addition, she completed her fellowship training at Albert Einstein/Montefiore Medical Center.
A general ophthalmologist for over 15 years in Port Jefferson, NY, Dr. Geiger's special interests are corneal diseases and dry eye, as well as glaucoma, diabetic eye disease and dry macular degeneration. Known in the area as a caring and excellent clinician, she is well respected by her peers and patients. She served as President of the Suffolk County Ophthalmology Society in 2004.
Born and raised on Long Island, Dr. Geiger resides in Setauket, NY and is happily married and the mother of three children. Her hobbies are drawing and painting, photography and travel.
