Marc Dinowitz, M.D.
Dr. Dinowitz was born and raised on Long Island, lives in Wading River, and is happily married with three children.
A board-certified ophthalmologist, he specializes in medical and surgical diseases of the cornea, cataracts, and laser eye (LASIK) surgery.
Dr. Dinowitz completed his undergraduate studies summa cum laude with departmental honors and earned his medical degree from Stony Brook University, where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa honor society. His post-doctoral training began with an internship at Winthrop University Hospital, followed by an ophthalmology residency at the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Dinowitz went on to complete a fellowship in cornea, external eye disease, cataract, and refractive surgery at The Wilmer Eye Institute-The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD, earning a special resident teaching award.
He is an assistant professor of clinical ophthalmology at Stony Brook University where he instructs residents in medical and surgical ophthalmology. He has served in several offices of the Suffolk County Ophthalmology Society, including President. He also has participated in a charitable outreach program via ORBIS International in Kunming, China were he lectured extensively and taught doctors cataract and corneal transplant surgeries.
Outside of the office, Dr. Dinowitz enjoys spending time with his three children and wife, traveling, exercising, and playing various outdoor sports.
